Advanced Fleet Installs equipped Foodstuffs North Island's Fuso Shogun fleet in New Plymouth with the MaxSafe Left Side pedestrian monitoring system — making them the first company in New Zealand to adopt this technology.
When turning left, the AI-powered camera detects pedestrians and cyclists along the length of the truck, triggering visual and audible warnings to those nearby while simultaneously alerting the driver inside the cab.

Founded in 2017 by Lawrence McLaren, Advanced Fleet Installs is an Auckland-based specialist in automotive electronics for commercial fleets.
We work with leading technology providers including EROAD and Seeing Machines to deliver GPS tracking, driver cameras, reversing cameras, and a range of automotive electrical accessories to fleet operators across New Zealand.
Lawrence brings deep industry experience, having previously served as In Field Service Supervisor at EROAD and operated his own vehicle security business, Immobilized Security, for over five years in the Wellington region.
That hands-on background in both field service and vehicle electronics means every install is done to the highest standard — reliable, clean, and built to last in demanding commercial environments.
